Shibari Essentials 3 - TK Chest Harness
Explore the Essentials of Shibari in these 4 hour classes at Shibari Lounge in Antwerp.
Marc BeShibari and Shibarista Jess will guide you in discovering the aesthetics and basic techniques of this intimate form of rope play.
After these sessions you will be able to safely tie several basic patterns, with attention on technique and aesthetics of course, but especially focusing on the experience you will have together with your (rope-) partner.
Gote, Takate Kote Chest Harness
In this class we will teach you one of the major building blocks of Japanese bondage, the chest harness with hands behind the back, aka Gote, TK or Takate Kote. You will learn to correctly tie a basic chest harness you can use in floorwork and (semi)suspension. We will adapt the harness to be comfortable for your partner*. We will also cover the risks of nerve injuries in tying a TK and how we try to prevent them.
* We will help you adapt the harness to your partner as much as possible, but please bear in mind that in a group class we cannot cover the more complex situation in case your partner is not able to hold the hands behind the back. For these situations, we recommend you book a private workshop with one of us, so we can work out a safe and comfortable harness together.
This workshop covers:
-
refreshing your technique: rope handling, interaction with your partner, creativity, competence
-
tying all elements of a basic Takate kote (TK), the most used shibari harness)
-
risks of rope bondage: how to recognize and how to prevent?
-
Playing with the TK
