Intermediate 1: Futomomo & Leg Ties
Some of the most common parts of more complex ties involve tying a folded leg (futomomo shibari) or tying the legs together ‘mermaid style’. In this workshop we will teach you how to tie two much used building blocks: futomomo shibari and other leg ties, safe for floorwork, partial and ultimately full suspensions. We will teach you to tie these patterns and incorporate them in full ties.
This 4-hour workshop will be taught by Shibarista Jess. You will learn:
· to tie a futomomo suitable for semi- and full suspension
· different ways to tie the legs together from the waist
· different ways to tie the legs together from the ankles
· to attach an upline to your futomomo or leg tie and load the tie
For whom?
This workshop is for couples with some experience in Shibari. We will cover the use of futomomo shibari in floor work, partial and full suspension. We will also take a look at other leg ties.
You are confident with the single column tie, tension, reverse tension and frictions. You know how to tie secure uplines and have some experience with partial and full suspension.
It is an advantage if you know how to tie a TK chest harness, but you can perfectly attend this class if you don't.
