Theme Class - Creative with Partials
Shibarista Jess is a great fan of partials and often prefers them over full suspensions. She will dedicate her extensive knowledge to unlock your creativity in tying partial suspensions and play with them. She will guide you to:
-
Tie several positions that will showcase your rope bottom’s intrinsic beauty
-
Enhance your and your rope bottom’s experience by playing with time, pace and pause
-
Challenge your rope bottom by adding predicaments or consensual stress to your ties
-
Explore different add-ons to rope play: use of clothing, tying the hair, clothes pins, spanking tools, candle wax, stones …
-
Create a highly intimate experience for both partners by playing with distance, exposure, touch …

For whom?
Intermediate level workshop, for (play) couples with already some experience in Shibari. You have done the Introduction to Shibari and Essentials part 1 & 2 with us, or you have learned elsewhere how to:
-
Tie a single and double column tie
-
Use tension and reverse tension
-
Tie basic frictions: half hitch, nodome, yuki fix
-
Create solid uplines on a ring and/or bamboo hard point (your uplines will be reviewed during the workshop)
You will need 8-10 ropes.
It is an advantage if you know how to tie a TK chest harness (Shibari Essentials 3), but you can perfectly attend this class if you don't.
Registration
Please register by filling out the form on the event page. You will then receive a mail with all necessary info.

Exploring Aesthetics and Interaction in Three Dimensions
Partial suspensions (‘partials’) offer an enormous variety of positions and intensities while still keeping touch with the earth. Partials are much more than ‘just’ the first step towards suspension. These ties are fun to play and experiment with, giving you the chance to try lots of different positions and interactions.
Partials are very suitable to integrate other types of (kinky, sensual, erotic, sadistic …) play to your ties, to challenge your partner and create a wonderful sense of intimacy. These ties take your rope play beyond tying patterns and allow you to connect with your rope partner on a deeper level, crossing the fine line from doing Shibari to Kinbaku.
