After this practice class you will feel more confident and have new inspiration to have fun at home or at rope events.

It is perfectly possible to join in a practice class more than once. With new topics by different participants every time, there's always something to learn!

For whom:
Practice Classes aim at (play) couples that participated in the Introduction and "Essentials" workshops at Shibari Lounge, or picked up the skills covered in these workshops elsewhere. To avoid the participants' experience being too far apart, we confine the tying skills practiced to the level of semi-suspension.
More advanced shibarite/ukete couples with specific questions are advised to book a private class.

Prerequisites:
You know or understand:
- How to tie a single column tie
- The use of tension & reverse tension
- How to use basic frictions, e.g. half hitch, nodome/munter hitch, yuki fix, …

Models need to be able to communicate their wants, needs and possible limitations clearly and appropriately.

Registration:

Please register by filling out the form on the event page. You will then receive a mail with all necessary info.

Registration is per couple only. Switching during the practice class is not allowed.

If you are single and want to attend a workshop: we cannot provide you with a rope partner. Please try to find a partner at our Shibari Night, other rope events or put an ad on social media.

Sunday Practice Class

Practice makes perfect! If you're not exactly looking for a workshop, but would love to get feedback on your tying skills, we welcome you to our 4-hours Practice Class. Experienced teachers will check your technique and share their insights. It's the ideal opportunity to improve your shibari skills in a relaxed Sunday afternoon atmosphere, with some good music and a self-service bar. After this practice class you will feel more confident and have new inspiration to have fun at home or at rope events.

As a (beginning) rope top you will be exploring your creativity to safely, effectively and aesthetically restrain your partner. As a rope bottom you will discover how different manipulations by your partner and the ropes affect you. You will start to build a new (non-verbal) vocabulary to communicate with your rope top and stay connected during your play.
