Intermediate 3: Hip Harnesses
Hip harnesses are mostly used to make (partial) suspensions more comfortable for rope bottoms, and to use the waist and hips as the center point in a suspension. With the rise of online classes, there is now a great variety of hip harnesses about. In this class we will teach you several hip harnesses that you can use for most positions in partial and full suspensions.
This 3-hour workshop will be taught by Shibarista Jess. You will learn to:
-
Tie 3 solid hip harnesses, from simple to complex
-
Tie some other symmetrical and asymmetrical hip ties
-
Load the ties in partial suspensions
-
Add torsion in the position – challenging for the model and interesting from an aesthetical perspective
If the skills level of the group allows, we can go to full suspension.

For whom?
This workshop is for couples with some experience in Shibari. You are confident with the single column tie, tension, reverse tension and frictions. You know how to tie secure uplines and have some experience with semi-suspension. It is an advantage if you know how to tie a TK chest harness, but you can perfectly attend this class if you don't.
This class is an excellent bridge between the Suspension 1 & 2 classes.
