Biography
With 25 years of experience in rope bondage and BDSM, countless performances and over a dozen video productions in her name, Kasumi Hourai can be considered one of today’s top Japanese shibarite. In Japan she forged strong collaborations with, among others, Akane-chan en Yagami Ren. To share her extensive knowledge not only inside Japan, she travels across the globe.
The combination of her traditional Japanese upbringing and extensive study of authentic and modern rope practice in Japan give her teachings a unique perspective. Prepare to be immersed in a fusion between rope bondage, its Japanese origins, and the personal mindset of a leading Japanese instructor.
Having been not only a student of Naka Akira but also a model for him, and actively modelling for her own video productions, Kasumi will not just be sharing tying techniques, but also share her massive experience and insights into modelling for kinbaku.
Kasumi will be supported by TatiAna as her model and Yuko for translation.

The weekend of Pentecost 2024, we will not organize one, but two Shibari Night Specials! Both nights, Kasumi will bring us a performance packed with traditional and theatrical Japanese elements. Each show will have a different theme. After the show, Shibari Lounge is all yours to enjoy the ropes and the company of other shibari enthusiasts! Personal Sessions Monday 20 May
Monday May 20, you will get the opportunity to spend some personal time with Kasumi Hourai. Those curious to be tied by Kasumi can opt for a personal tying session. If you’d like to learn from Kasumi but didn’t make it to the weekend workshop, you can book a private workshop. Spectators are welcome!
