About The Event
The Philosophy of Rope Bondage’ an interactive discussion on authentic and modern style bondage in Japan, chaired by Sin. Having travelled through Japan and the Japanese bondage/kink scene extensively, Sin may well be considered an authority on how the Japanese practice and experience S&M and Kinbaku. He wrote "Year of the Bakushi" on his experiences in Japan and he has written numerous inside articles for websites and (online) magazines such as "Kinbaku Today". He performs a highly erotic style of Kinbaku known as kan'nonawa. In this Kai (会) style discussion Sin will share his insights into the Japanese bondage scene from a personal perspective. This is the opportunity to address topics like: how and where is Shibari bondage practiced in Japan? Is it difficult to access the kink scene there? How big is the taboo on S&M and bondage in Japan? Is there a similar sense of 'rope community' like we experience in Europe? What are the major differences in tying with a Japanese person or a European person? Is there such a thing as a heritage of ancient rope culture? How essentially does Western bondage differ from Japanese philosophy? The talk will be followed by a Sunday Rope Jam till 19hrs.
